Snowflake Toes

Lavender and Holographic Silver Mica Powder
I LOVE this set I have on at the mo.
I started off with the Gellux 'Luna Light' from the metallic range. I then pressed in a lavender cosmetic grade mica powder on the top and a holographic silver version on the bottom.
Finished with a leafy stamping design with White Konad Stamping polish.
TIP: I found that sometimes if you don't cap the nails properly etc of only use one top coat, the powder on the free edge can sometimes start to thin - therefore whatever colour I use on the free edge, I try to match as closely as possible as a base colour over the base layer and under the powder.
I also ALWAYS use two top coats over the powder - the same as I do on the stamping.
Don't forget to use a top coat in between the poser and the stamping too ;)
A friend pointed out the were very Frozen-esque - which has given me an idea - so stay tuned :D

MoYou Tropial Ombre Stamping
One of my regulars bought a new skirt and we did nails to match.
Gave me a fab chance to try some more tropical colours with my tropical plates from MoYou
I'm so impressed with the quality of stamping from these plates, I've ordered another 4 plates this morning.
I really live way beyond my means when it comes to nail stuff!!

MoYou Plate!
Good Greif - Just as I thought i had found the love of my life in the Pueen Plate (and don't get me wrong - they are FAB) I have now found MoYou.
Jeeeez, they are Brill!
Here I have one on the Tropical Plates and I LOVE it.
Still practising my ombre with Mica Powder too, so decided to go for some subtler colours on mum and then popped some MoYou on top.
I'm so impressed. The plate was perfect. Seriously. The stamper I got off them and Scraper and second to none. Picked up the design first time, every time and the detailing was great.
Really happy with them.
Think I'll do some more colourful ones next time. Like a tropical kind mix.
here's the plate I used . . .

PUEEN 41 - PUEEN IS FABULOUS!!
I think I'm in love.
I know I shouldn't judge on just one design on one plate, but I am.
I normally use Bundle Monster, Konad, Messy Mansion etc etc. All have varying success with picking the polish up on the stampers. I came across Pueen. Thought 'what the hell?'
Now I'm thinking 'why not sooner?'
This plate is FABULOUS!! and I mean FAAAABULOUSSSS!
There was absolutely NO issues with the stamper being able to pick this beautiful design up. Every time. I re-did a few nails as I'm a fussy bugger and some were't on straight (still aren't - you'd think i was cross eyed) and every single time the stamper picked up beautifully.
I'm SO impressed. I received three in the post this morning and will be trying the others as soon as this wears off.
You can also get awesome little holders for the Pueen - which I think I'll also invest in.
PLEASE let the others be as good as this . . .

Additive Powders!!
Today I found the beauty that is Mica powder. Found here and they are simply FABULOUS.
Apply to gel polish. Prep as normal, bas and then a white. Leave the sticky layer and DAB the powder on. Finish with top coat. For dots, add tops coat as dots and wipe off once cured to get rid of the powder other than the cured dots.
What a stunning finish.
Dots need practice as does my ombre finish - but for a first attempt - not bad!!
